My Indie Shop: Atlanta Recap Part II

Welcome back to the second installment of my Indie Shop: Atlanta experience! Yesterday I just scraped the surface of photos by showing you Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish. Up next I was introduced to a new brand called Crystal Knockout which featured both polishes and jewelry.

I was first met by Tyler and he was the one who made all of the jewelry on the table. I ended up coming home with an awesome peacock-themed bracelet which was priced at $16. If you bought a jewelry item, they knocked $2 off the price of any polishes you bought. I took advantage of that.

Their website is not up yet, but it will be up here soon. All polishes were $9 with discounts on multiple bottle purchases. And that centerpiece!

Candace makes the polishes and you can see her in the background here (without a head). She was super friendly, and I look forward to seeing what she comes up with!

This is the show exclusive from Crystal Knockout called Dryad Charms. You'll see swatches of this soon :)

Pahlish

I was probably most excited to see Pahlish because I've been buying Shannon's polishes since around 2012, I think?
You know I took advantage of this discount. I bought the 3 special editions, a Doctor Who polish, and a Life Aquatic polish.

Here are the makers behind the brand, Shannon and Josh. Josh was not one of those husbands just along for the ride and he was happy to chat about polish. We also had a great discussion about Doctor Who while everyone was shopping around us. We both didn't care for Clara or Martha. She knows what's up.

The LE polishes were on the right (from top to bottom: Holland 1945, Golden Afternoon, and Go Ask Alice). If you look next to Josh in the photo above, you can see the cool cabinet they had the other half of their polishes in.

Look at how gorgeous Shannon's hair is! It's so thick! And those waves! My hair is so flat and boring in comparison.

Lou is the woman behind Bluebird Lacquer and Lou It Yourself nail products. She is based out of Denver, so she was flying solo at the show. I love Lou! She had me cracking up the whole time I was at her table. As soon as I introduced myself, she came around the table and gave me a big hug.

What a cute setup, right? The lighting made the pictures turn out weird, but my husband took a few out so you could get a better look at the colors.

A blue bird for Bluebird Lacquer.

It's Fall Over Me. My husband took a ton of pictures of this. I don't know why I didn't buy it, but the iridescent glitters were beautiful.

This is another polish I wanted to get, but didn't pull the trigger on. We tried to take a few pictures of polishes I didn't buy to get some more variety.

Lou told me that she planned on getting drunk and starfishing on her hotel bed after it was all over. This is why I love Lou.

She also brought some wax tarts.

Lou is just a cool person. I might be going to Denver in October and I'd love to hang out with her again. If you look to the right here, you can see the cuticle balms and soaps she brought. The tiny vials on the top are acetone additives she's trying out right now. I got a sample of this to try and will let you know my thoughts when I open a new bottle of remover.

Stay tuned for more recaps this week!
