Back to the campaigns!! Today, I'll be talking about 3 brands that presented gorgeous collections during fashion week and one whose collection I didn't like much. Were the photographers able to work their magic this time? We'll see.
¡Volvemos a las campañas! Hoy os hablaré de 3 marcas que presentaron unas colecciones preciosas durante las semanas de la moda y de otra cuya colección no me gustó mucho. ¿Estuvieron los fotógrafos a la altura? Veremos.
Ralph Lauren Fall/Winter 16.17: Sanne Vloet & Cindy Bruna by Bruce Weber
Sanne is the new Valentina, and that's great. However, I miss seeing in this ad some models who were lovely on the runway show, such as Kate G. (who got the Polo Ralph Lauren campaign) and Maartje Verhoef (who closed the show).
The pictures are classic Ralph Lauren. Nothing new, but really pretty.
Sanne es la nueva Valentina, y eso es genial. Sin embargo, echo de menos ver en esta campaña a algunas modelos que destacaron mucho en el desfile, como Kate G. (que está en la campaña de Polo Ralph Lauren) o Maartje Verhoef (que cerró el desfile).
Las fotos tienen la estética clásica de Ralph Lauren. No es una nuevo, pero son bonitas.
Valentino Fall/Winter 16.17: Julia Nobis, Katlin Aas, Jamie Bochert & Karen Elson by Steven Meisel
Valentino keeps using different photographers, which I already said is a great idea. At least in my opinion.
This time they hired one of the biggest photographers (if not the biggest): Mr Steven Meisel. Valentino + Meisel, what could go wrong? Many things, apparently.
I like the concept, since it really works with this collection. But this feels like something that only looks great in motion, not in print. The poses look very strange, and the models look uncomfortable.
Oh well, I can't love every single thing Valentino does.
Valentino sigue cambiando el fotógrafo cada pocas temporadas, lo cual ya he dicho que me parece una buena idea. Es una opinión personal.
Esta vez contrataron a uno de los más grandes (o el más grande): el señor Steven Meisel. Valentino + Meisel, ¿qué puede salir mal? Pues muchas cosas, al parecer.
Me gusta el concepto, ya que pega mucho con la colección. Pero tiene pinta de ser algo que destaca mucho en movimiento, no en imágenes. Las poses son muy extrañas, y las modelos parecen estar incómodas.
Bueno, supongo que no me puede gustar todo lo que hace Valentino.
Proenza Schouler Fall/Winter 16.17: Julia Bergshoeff, Alexa Peralta & Selena Forrest by Zöe Ghertner
I loved the collection and the fact that Julia opened the show. She's the ultimate Proenza girl.
The ad itself is quite simple, but I really like it. As I said many times before, less is more.
Me encantó la colección y el hecho de que fuera Julia quien abrió el desfile. Es la chica Proenza por excelencia.
La campaña en si es tremendamente simple, pero me gusta. Como ya he dicho en multitud de ocasiones, menos es más.

Max Mara Fall/Winter 16.17: Odette Pavlova by Steven Meisel
This is the collection that I didn't like. And I can tell you that Meisel did work his magic on this one.
Odette has been killing it lately. There's something very captivating about her that Steven has managed to capture. Lovely campaign.
Esta es la colección que no me gustó. Y os puede decir que si, aquí si que vemos la magia de Meisel.
Odette está arrasando últimamente. Hay algo muy cautivador en ella que Steven ha sabido capturar. Preciosa campaña.
