Carli Lloyd became the third American to be crowned Women's World Player of the Year at the  FIFA BALLON D'OR Award ceremony held on Monday at Kongresshaus, Zurich, Switzerland.
She joins other Americans Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach to win the coveted title.
